When the LandLady isn’t too busy running two venues, Viva La Diva is entertaining the BarPop customers with her old school, high camp, witty drag! Viva La Diva first started drag in 1983 under the name Taste the Honey. Once she arrived in Manchester in 1989 Viva had the opportunity to go professional doing drag. 

While studying at university, she was paid by Manchester City Council to create a video in drag that promoted safe sex during the HIV epidemic. This lead to Viva La Diva having opportunities to travel around the country performing her drag. Even 35 years later Viva is still actively fighting for the rights of our community. 

In 1996 Viva took a step back from drag when her event PopTastic was set up. However, 3 years later Viva La Diva was born when it was clear drag was still a huge passion for her. Since 1999, Viva has gone international. Performing in Ireland, France,The Netherlands, America and Spain. 

Now, as Viva La Diva has gotten older and can’t dance as well as she once could, you can usually find her hosting our SugarPops drag shows and making the BarPop customers feel welcomed from the comfort of her own venue (and most likely from a seat!).

Jackie started her stage career in 2001 at the age of 13 performing in a show called 'Kultcha' at the Plaza Theatre Stockport and Octagon Theatre in Bolton. It's here her love of stage became apparent, going on to sing for the late Queen Elizabeth II at the 2002 Commonweath Games in Manchester. As Jackie turned 18 it was time to try the drag scene. Over the past 17 years Jackie has worked seasons overseas in Turkey, Tenerife and Lanzarote. Worked onboard Cruise Ships and worked on International Prides.

Jackie has worked in Manchester's Gay Village for the past 12 years, 10 of those here at Bar Pop Manchester.

She is quick, witty and a massive lover of comedy.

Krystal is your song bird of Barpop!

She's been with the company for 10 whole years now. Singing her little heart out to you and supplying you will all the camp classics and chart-toppers from behind the DJ booth.

A lot of things have changed in 10 years, (mainly due to the amount of Botox and filler Krytal's had) but one thing has stayed the same THERE AINT NO PARTY LIKE A BARPOP PARTY!

Robbin has been with the company now for 8 long and amazing years!

We've sent her all over the world to shake that butt and talk some smut, she's come a long way from doing that on the beautiful streets of Salford.

Best known for her lusciously long legs and of course, getting her bum out!

Just arrived, Track 17, all way from Bury (via a Disney cruise ship) ... it's Miss Lavender Mills!

Lavender has worked alongside the BarPop company for 6 years, whilst taking a little break to style wigs for the Disney greats on their cruise ship. She will instantly be a part of your world whilst you be our guest down at our Divas Show and Drag Brunches!

Double up for a pound, it's nice!

Shazza is our Beyonce of Bar Pop. She has worked for the bar for 4 years and represented the company all over the country. Shazza was the Team Bar Pop organiser at The Manchester 10k and has worked alongside several LGBT charities that assist those in our community that need it the most.

Shazza is currently studying a B.A Hons Degree in Special Effects Makeup Artistry. 

She is a comedy queen through and through but without a doubt she is an all rounder and true professional. Her Karaoke parties are legendary! Her lip-syncs are legendary! AND she sure knows how to turn a look!

If there’s one thing Shazza knows how to do, she knows how to throw a PARRRRTTTTTYYYYY!

Bella DeBall, Yorkshire's "finest" and the pocket rocket of Barpop!

Bella has been with the company for almost a year now, as your resident promo queen, trolley dolly, DJ and live entertainer. 

She's been performing ever since she could walk and talk, to now having many accolades to her name. Some moments of her drag career Bella is most proud of are: starring in music videos, singing all over the country and even performing in front of members of the Royal family!

Drag started taking over her life back in 2019, with Bella making her full drag debut in 2021. Now, she's taking to stages across the country, and soon, the world!

Glitter is a small-town queen moved to the big city!

She's the pretty in pink Queen, that you can usually find spinning around outside, staring at the lights, in a world of her own! Glitter has been with the BarPop family for two years now, which has taken her internationally to Benidorm, where she performed with her BarPop sisters. Over these years, she's learnt so much and can’t wait to share it with you all as we sing and boogie into the night!

This star is still on the rise! Catch her at BarPop for a Glitter filled night. Stay sparkly! :)

Miss Toxic Shock is 26 years old, born and bred in Bolton. She's been doing drag for 5 years now, and would describe it as a bad acid trip- camp, colourful with a touch of darkness… but, enough about her hole!

Toxic's drag name comes from a cartoon character that is a wrestler- Heavy Flow. Whom called her ‘finishing move’ The Toxic Shock. Therefore, Miss Toxic Shock was chosen, and she hasn’t looked back since!

Toxic is a resident queen here at BarPop, where you can most likely catch her dancing away on the trolley, so come on down and get your 6 for £10 shots from her trolley!

New to Bar Pop Carnation is named for Oscar Wilde. She’s been beating her face and overspending for the perfect look for a year now. Carnation is looking forward to learning more skills from the team at Bar Pop while serving camp, spooky drag and of course, shots for you all!

Ivy Groove is a southern gal, living the northern dream in Greater Manchester. Fresh onto the drag scene, Ivy loves to be bright, bold, and colourful serving a face painted to perfection drenched in sparkles!  Currently in her final year at University, Ivy is studying Photography, so she knows how to take a good pic and all the best angles to strike a pose. Come on down to meet Ivy and live your life-sized Bratz doll fantasy!

Ari Asschique has arrived, all the way from a small town in Northamptonshire, with a passion for drag, dance and musical theatre. Ari is now wanting to take on Manchester's drag scene here at Bar Pop!

Ari has 5 years of drag experience and has had multiple opportunities to showcase these talents that were learnt along the way. From studying professional dance and musical theatre at Bird College (a prestigious drama school in Kent) to hosting pride events, competing in drag idol Newcastle and even making an appearance in British vogue.

Ari expresses drag through a lens, traditional with a modern twist. Inspired by old school cabaret, high kicks, splits and fabulous show tunes!

Dannii has been with the team here at BarPop now for 9 years! After moving to Manchester to pursue a drag career he fell in love with not just being a queen but also being a DJ!

International DJ Playing your Friday nights as well as being your DJ for all the BarPop shows.

He can play almost anything- just don’t ask him for Valerie ;) and he sure know how to get a party going! Oh and did we mention? He Dj’d in the French Alps?

Beverly won the first EVER Dragtastic down here at BarPop and has gone on to an incredible career since, while parading her pads on stage and in the DJ box!

From live vocals, DJing and of course karaoke hosting.

Originally from Birmingham and now living the dream in Manchester, the Bostin’ Brummie: Carley Flower has arrived at BarPop…officially!

Although new to the drag scene, Carley has had many years experience in performing, including in musical theatre shows. She has a huge passion of singing, acting and dancing.

In 2020, she started do dabble in drag from home whilst she should’ve been focusing on her GCSEs!

In 2022 she performed her first drag performance. Drag really started to become one of her huge passions. Over the past few years, Carley has gone on to perform in more shows and pride events in the West Midlands before packing her bags and moving to Manchester.

Carley is studying Musical Theatre at University whilst also enhancing her passion of drag here at BarPop.

Recently, Carley made the Dragtastic Final and loved every minute competing.She is very excited to have joined the BarPop team and looks forward to meeting all of you!

Oi oi radgies! All the way from Geordie Land, it’s Gigi Gay! Your dancing diva with a niche for splits and flips. After gaining  a platform from Newcastle’s very own Drag Idol in 2019, she was lucky enough to do Nathan’s makeup on the hit TV show Geordie Shore, perform at Northern Pride and was handpicked to perform in Marmaris for two seasons! Gigi Gay has performed all over the country and is now ready to settle in Manchester at Bar Pop. It’s about to GAY!

DJ Josh/ Bad Influence is your Saturday night DJ.

Having DJ'd all over the country for the last 5 years, he is no stranger to making a crowd move! 

Not only is he a DJ but he is also a music producer, making his own tracks which have featured in Ministry of Sound and have been played at festival dance events in Amsterdam.
